A few months ago when I first talked to Julie about covering their November wedding in Vail I was a little hesitant. I knew odds where pretty good that the weather would be workable, heck it is most of the time in Colorado, but the “what if” still had me concerned just a little. Fortunately they missed the heavy snow and the weekend of their wedding was beautiful for a Colorado mountain wedding.
Rockin the shutter with me was friend and fellow Denver wedding photographer Dain Linder of Photography by Dain. I’ve called him out so many times this year on the blog I think I’ve going to have to write a script or macro to handle that next year, because 2010 is already looking awesome for us.
Our first stop of the day was to the Arrabelle Hotel in Vail. Such and amazing place for the Julie and Seth to get ready in. As we entered the suite Julie had I was greeted by a flower garden along the table and kitchen area – the finishing touches to the flowers was being done by the bride herself along with the help of friends and family.
Before we knew it time had come to head up the road to the ceremony location, the Beaver Creek Chapel. Such a wonderful chapel, I’m a sucker for stone churches and this one was beautiful. Even in the winter the surrounding areas had a wonderful feel to them.
Seth and Julie’s ceremony was awesome, the look of joy on Seth’s face as Julie came down the isle showed all the emotion and joy of the day.
Following a beautiful ceremony and some photos it was time to head back to Vail for the reception at The Donovan Pavilion. The perfect reception site for a country wedding.
After some amazing BBQ, music and dancing, it was last dance and time to pack up and start the drive back to Denver.
Julie and Seth, thank you so much for allowing Dain and myself to be a part of your day and capture it for you. Here’s just a sample of what we’ve got coming for you.
Until next time,
