It can be a challenge sometimes capture those first dance shots I love so much – when the lighting is REALLY dark – like well after sunset and it’s outside dark.
After getting a few of the safe shots using a little focus assist from the Canon flash units I grabbed a few by focusing manually – not the easiest thing to do if the camera doesn’t have the right viewfinder mind you – but I wanted the backlit and soft look – I wanted to capture the mood of the moment in this shot.
