Brit and Chaz – Morningside Manor Wedding – Colorado Film Photography

It’s always special when there’s a pre-existing relationship with the couple going into a wedding.   In this case my #1 assistant and partner in crime, Dain, new the brides family and had done some portrait work in the past for them.   When Brit and Chaz made their plans to get married their first plan was to bring in the team that Dain was a part of – and am I glad they did.

See I often get asked what’s my favorite wedding venue in Denver, and my response is typically “none”.   Sure if I got up to the foothills and my favorite little Castle, or up to Allenspark or Estes Park, heck even Breckenridge – but nothing in Denver.   Don’t get me wrong there’s some very nice  venues in Denver that I enjoy working at – but there’s not always that click of style and personality that makes someplace a “favorite”, until now.

Morningside Manor has a lot of style and personality and it was the perfect fit for the style and personality of Brit and Chaz’s wedding.   Don’t get me wrong – this isn’t the perfect venue and it’s not going to work for everybody, but that’s what I love about it.   Just as my style of photography, a stange mix of photojournalism and fine art portraits, digital and film, isn’t for everyone, a great wedding venue isn’t for everyone either – for the the right couple – it’s magical.

Now lets take a look at some of the magic from Brit and Chaz’s day.

I first wrote about Tom’s Wedding Shoes back in 2009 so very pleased to see them showing up in some of my weddings this year.

Since the manor was pretty packed for space after the ceremony the wedding party packed up and hit a park just a few miles away with a great view for some portraits.

Please note that for insurance liability issues we of course did not encourage the couple to do this – but I’ll never pass on the shot if they come to this awesome idea on their own.

Back to the manor for the reception.

Being right next door to your cake bakery certainly makes delivery a little easier.

Friends and Family:

Be sure to check Brit and Chaz’s wedding Collection to see the entire collection from this wedding.  Will also put some stuff for tagging up on the business facebook page.

And over course there’s a wonderful slideshow from the day.
