Not only do you get to learn from some of the best, spend some time in their professional kitchen, but get to take home a dozen of these amazing cake pops as well.

Granted I’m probably going to take a pass on this myself – my diet is taking enough of a hit this season without learning how to make these things myself – WAY to dangerous.   Don’t worry after the incident with the cupcakes I won’t let Porthos show up either.  :-)

Enter Intricate Icings Cupcakes.  I’ve been a friend of one of Colorado’s most amazing cake artists Rachael Teufel for a few years now and when I saw the holiday cupcakes cakes my wife and I opted to jump on the idea.   Treat ourselves to something amazing that day and then no leftovers to haunt our calorie intake for the rest of the week.

We picked up plenty of extra’s for some friends and neighbors and received nothing but rave reviews.

As a matter of fact it seemed everyone in the family was excited to see these cupcakes on the table – even if none of them where meant for them.

Porthos – Back away from the cupcakes.

Still not one to throw in the towel so I think every day this week will include a 5k+ run just to try and get ahead of the curve a bit.

September – Going once – Going Twice

It seems things run in batches around here.   The last few weeks have been awesome for new contacts on 2012 weddings – but at least half of them are for September weddings.   Many all on the same day.   Just a reminder to those with meetings – a day isn’t yours on our calendar until we have a contract and retainer in hand.

Of course the nice thing is I’ve been able to refer some wonderful couples to some other great photographers here in town on the days I’ve already booked.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Becker a few years back when I was still working on how to grow my wedding business and found the day very informative and looked forward to chance to meet up with him again.

The only downside might have been the speed in which Becker had to run through the presentation – I don’t know if he took more than a few breaths during the next 90 minutes.   He had to rush it a bit since the photographers where off to the second big event of the night.

Anna Be: Five

One of Denver’s finest bridal boutique’s Anna Be is one of the must visit places for brides dress shopping, and their 5 anniversary celebration was also this night, and do these people know how to throw a party.

One of my favorite parts of this party for myself was the fact that bamboo booth was on site with their photo booth. It’s a known fact that I’m a photo booth junkie and add to the mix lots of other photographers to pose with and I’m all in.
