Macquel and Rick – Sneak Peek

Had the chance to work with a lovely couple yesterday, Macquel and Rick.   An LDS wedding so no ceremony shots, but got them at the Denver Temple and had a great time capturing the after images.   Then off to the reception that evening where they burned up the floor with their first dance….

22nd Anniversary and Porthos

As our 22nd anniversary showed up on the horizon my wife and I starting discussing what we wanted to do to celebrate. Since I’ve been dealing with a bad case of pneumonia this last month we really didn’t plan on doing much – hospital stays and frequent follow up visits along with recovery has been…

I was wondering who that adorable puppy was in your MySpace photos! I love the little smile he’s got in the last picture with Linda hugging him.

Where did you get him?

Jessica - February 22, 2009 - 11:13 pm

Definitely opposite of moose, but very cute and cuddly none the less! Love the name too :)

Featured Wedding Venue – South Broadway Christian Church

I’m going to break the rules a bit here and instead of highlighting a venue I’ve worked in this time I’m looking at a venue I’d love to work in. South Broadway Christian Church, located on the corner of Lincoln and Ellsworth that location will seem familiar to those who have been to my studio….

WOW! GORGEOUS church and what a terrific idea to do for a post. I was pondering what in the world I was going to do in the slow period these next couple of months. This is a terrific idea to keep posts coming. Of course, it wouldn’t mean a thing without truly beautiful photos and that is what you have here :-)

I’m having my wedding at South Broadway on November 21, 2009. I haven’t found a photographer yet, and I’m interested in getting more details about the special you’re running (assuming you’re still available that day).

MARK – What beautiful photos of the interior of this place of worship & historic church building!
This past Monday, I attended the memorial service of my little brother there.
I had not been inside the building since the early 1980′s and was very pleased and impressed with the meticulous care that the congregation has shown for this Denver landmark.
The recent renovation of “Ms Kimball”, the magnificent pipe organ, produced very meaningful and beautiful music for the memeorial service.
You may wish to contact the Pastor, to work out arrangements for some of you interior photos to be placed on the church website: www.SouthBroadway.org.
THANK YOU for providing a lasting memory of my little brother’s memorial

Through the Looking Glass

The shoot with Sara that I previewed in the previous post was also part of a theme shoot.  Sara wanted to do a “Through the Looking Glass” themed shoot.  Alice in Wonderland, but with a bit of a darker edge to it. There’s a park in Denver that is filled with “Wonderland” inspired statues so…

Very nicely done! Love the words up in the clouds…very faint, but still noticeable as if they really are there in real life! Also love the first reflection shot! Very nice editing on those!

Just found these pics on google. We are the Museum of Outdoor Arts in Englewood, CO, who owns the Alice in Wonderland sculptures. Loved seeing our sculptures in the pics. Good job. We are at www.moaonline.org, would love a reciprocal link. Nice photos!
