Featured Wedding Venue – South Broadway Christian Church

I’m going to break the rules a bit here and instead of highlighting a venue I’ve worked in this time I’m looking at a venue I’d love to work in. South Broadway Christian Church, located on the corner of Lincoln and Ellsworth that location will seem familiar to those who have been to my studio….

WOW! GORGEOUS church and what a terrific idea to do for a post. I was pondering what in the world I was going to do in the slow period these next couple of months. This is a terrific idea to keep posts coming. Of course, it wouldn’t mean a thing without truly beautiful photos and that is what you have here :-)

I’m having my wedding at South Broadway on November 21, 2009. I haven’t found a photographer yet, and I’m interested in getting more details about the special you’re running (assuming you’re still available that day).

MARK – What beautiful photos of the interior of this place of worship & historic church building!
This past Monday, I attended the memorial service of my little brother there.
I had not been inside the building since the early 1980′s and was very pleased and impressed with the meticulous care that the congregation has shown for this Denver landmark.
The recent renovation of “Ms Kimball”, the magnificent pipe organ, produced very meaningful and beautiful music for the memeorial service.
You may wish to contact the Pastor, to work out arrangements for some of you interior photos to be placed on the church website: www.SouthBroadway.org.
THANK YOU for providing a lasting memory of my little brother’s memorial

Khidija – Headshot Session

Khidija is a wonderful local actress who was referred to me by another client for some professional headshots. A few things separate headshots from a normal portrait sessions. Usually there’s little or no photoshop “special effects” – none of my signature vintage, textures, or stylings are used. The idea being to capture the subject for…

Beautiful portraits, Mark!

It's a blogsite and a new website

Well this weekend saw a big change in the online presence we have here at Mark Hayes Photography.   First I did a total 180 degree change on the showit site.   www.mhp-studio.com is the new traditional website built with Showit Site from David Jay.   The bludomain templates are still in the background – but now…

Kristy and Kevin

In wedding photography referrals is among the primary sources of new clients, but it’s an extra special honor when that referral comes not from a former client but rather another wedding photographer. This was the case with Kristy and Kevin. This was my first wedding at the Latter-Day Saints temple and not being able to…

The Roseina Hester Transplant Fund Benefit Dinner – Success

The dinner last night was a wonderful success. Special thanks to 3 Sons Italian for opening their doors just for this event on a Monday night and for the staff who volunteered to work their day off to cover it. Between the silent auction and after expenses for the dinner they raised a little over…
